Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff will testify at the Standing Committee on Procedure & House Affairs.
The Liberals are ending their absurd filibuster – which lasted over 20 hours – at the Standing Committee on Procedure & House Affairs Committee.
In a statement, the Prime Minister’s Office says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Chief of Staff Katie Telford will be allowed to testify.
The move came shortly after NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said his party would vote for the Conservative Motion compelling Telford’s testimony if the Liberals didn’t end the filibuster. The Liberals also backed down on the idea of making the vote a confidence measure – an idea which had generated a massive backlash and made them look extremely desperate.
