Everything Trudeau does shows he is desperate to hide the truth and cannot be trusted by Canadians.
On March 23rd, a majority of MPs in the House of Commons voted for a motion calling for an independent public inquiry into China’s interference in Canadian elections.
172 MPs voted in favour, while 149 voted against.
The votes against were Liberal MPs, obviously directed to vote against the motion by Justin Trudeau himself.
The motion read as follows:
“Your committee calls on the Government of Canada to launch a national public inquiry into allegations of foreign interference in Canada’s democratic system, including but not limited to allegations of interference in general elections by foreign governments.”
Former Liberal MP Han Dong – who denies allegations made in a Global News story that he told a Chinese official to delay the release of the Two Michaels – voted for the motion as well.
But since the vote, nothing has happened.
The Trudeau Liberals have ignored it. Instead, they’re pushing ahead with their appointment of Trudeau’s family friend David Johnston as the ‘Special Rapporteur,’ a position that exists only to buy time and make the issue seem less serious.
Johnston is a big fan of China, was involved in the Trudeau Foundation, and his family has connections to China. Two of his daughters studied the Mandarin language in China itself.
Third-world corruption?
Imagine if we were watching this happen in a third-world country. Imagine if the sitting government of that country faced allegations that an election in which it won was heavily influenced by Communist China. Imagine if that government then ignored a majority of elected officials voting for a full inquiry. Imagine if they then appointed a family friend of the national leader who had connections to a foundation named after that same nation leader. Imagine if that family friend also was a big fan of Communist China and had family connections there.
Would we even hesitate to label the whole thing as totally corrupt?
This is what we are facing in Canada. Our entire democratic system and our ability to trust our institutions is at stake, as Justin Trudeau seems more willing to side with those seeking to undermine our nation from within and without, rather than siding with the Canadian People.
We must keep talking about this issue, keeping bringing attention to it, and keep fighting for a full inquiry and decisive action, or else everything we love about Canada could be lost.
