The incumbents led by Premier Scott Moe have won a narrow majority government.
The Saskatchewan Party is currently poised to win 34 seats, 3 more than the 31 needed for a majority, while the NDP is poised to win 27 seats.
The Saskatchewan Party is down 14 seats compared to the 2020 election, while the NDP is up 14 seats.
In the popular vote, the Saskatchewan Party’s share dropped from 61% to 53%, while the NDP’s share increased from 32% to 39%.
While the Saskatchewan Party will remain in power, it seems the province is heading to an era of more closely-contested election races after years of Sask Party dominance.
