If so, why doesn’t he want a Carbon Tax Election?
Jagmeet Singh seems to be running as far from Justin Trudeau as he possibly can.
Having ended the Liberal-NDP Pact, Singh now appears to be flipping on the unpopular carbon tax:

As noted by Stephen Maher, this potential flip will be tough for Singh to sell, given his long-time support for the carbon tax:
“Why did he previously support it? He is swallowing himself whole. Not sure voters are as dumb as he thinks.”

Further reducing Singh’s credibility is the fact that he is refusing to back Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre’s push for a ‘Carbon Tax Election.’
Yet again it seems Singh wants to get credit for ‘opposing’ the Trudeau Liberals without putting in the work to actually oppose them.
