Non-Confidence Motion Fails

NDP & Bloc vote to keep Trudeau & the Liberals in power

The Conservative non-confidence motion has failed.

The motion was defeated after the NDP & Bloc Quebecois voted with the Liberals.

The Liberals will thus remain in power.

While this is a setback for the Conservatives in the short term, the party continues to benefit from being the only major party opposing the deeply unpopular Liberals.

Meanwhile, every time the NDP & Bloc vote to perpetuate Trudeau’s time in office, their brands become more and more inextricably linked to Trudeau’s crumbling political fortunes.
