According to Feed Ontario, over 1 million Ontarians used a foodbank in 2023-2024.
As the Liberal government attempts to put a positive spin on the economy, the stats continue to paint a very different picture.
According to Feed Ontario, the number of people using a foodbank in Canada’s largest province hit a record in 2023-2024 after hitting a record the previous year:
“In 2022-23, Feed Ontario foodbanks had a record year for usage.
In 2023-24, use was up 25% from that record breaking year.
This is a crisis.
I can’t wait for the Twitter trolls to come out and call foodbanks “doomerist”.”

A 25% surge from an already record-breaking year is horrendous.
This is why Liberal rhetoric on the economy continues to fall flat.
