Queen Agrees To Bojo’s Request To Prorogue UK Parliament

Boris Johnson continues to move the UK towards a Brexit, as the political establishment tries to stop it.

The Queen has agreed to Boris Johnson’s request for a suspension (or prorogation) of the UK Parliament.

Johnson made the request as the UK moves closer to a ‘no-deal’ Brexit.

The move was met with outrage from the political establishment, even including some ‘remainer’ members of Johnson’s Conservative Party.

However, polls have shown a majority of UK residents support the idea of proroguing Parliament to ensure that the politicians can’t thwart the Brexit that people voted for.

Johnson has repeatedly made clear that the UK will leave the EU on October 31st:

“The referendum result must be respected. We will leave the EU on 31st October.”

The UK political establishment is showing tremendous hypocrisy by complaining about the prorogation. They have had many years to come up with a Brexit deal and get the UK out of the EU following the Referendum, yet repeatedly failed to do so.

Does anyone think that a few more weeks of politicians debating would actually have achieved anything different?

Johnson is finally doing what should have been done the whole time: Being clear that a deadline actually means something, and ensuring Brexit will be delivered.
