Erin O’Toole Beats MacKay In Q2 Fundraising, Lewis Donations Surge

MacKay lost the lead he held in Q1.

Conservative leadership candidate Erin O’Toole has taken the lead over Peter MacKay in Quarter Two donations.

Between April & June, O’Toole brought in $1.24 million, with MacKay in a close second with $1.16 million raised.

Leslyn Lewis saw her donations surge, going from $448,000 in Q1 to $996,000.

Derek Sloan’s donations dropped slightly, falling from $410,000 to $329,000.

This fits with what seems to be the overall state of the race so far, with O’Toole & MacKay locked in a tight battle, while Lewis continues to gain support.

While Sloan is saying many things that resonate with many Conservatives, his campaign has struggled to get the same financial traction as the other three candidates.

Voting is already underway, with the deadline for party members to get their votes in arriving by August 21, 2020.
