Brutal numbers for the Liberals.
A new Nanos poll has some absolutely brutal numbers for the Liberals, as the Trudeau-led party continues to lose their connection to Canadians amid surging crime and a pathetically weak economy.
According to the survey, the Liberals have dropped to 26.7% nationally. The Conservatives are far ahead at 35.6%, while the NDP is at 23.2% – within striking distance of the Liberals. The Bloc is at 7.4%, while the Greens are at 4.3%. The PPC has 3.5%.
The Liberals are at 26.7% in the latest Nanos!
CPC 35.6%
LPC 26.7%
NDP 23.2%
Bloc 7.4%
PPC 3.5%
Green 4.3%— Bryan Breguet (@2closetocall) May 16, 2023
The Ontario numbers are even more brutal for the Liberals, with the Conservatives opening up a 13 point lead in the seat-rich province, while the NDP leads the Conservatives by 15 points in BC, with the Liberals in third in that province.
Poilievre extends best PM lead
While the national numbers are brutal for the Liberals, the personal numbers for Trudeau aren’t any better.
Only 24% of Canadians pick him as their top choice for PM, while 29% pick Poilievre. 19% pick Jagmeet Singh, meaning Trudeau is as close to Singh on that question as he is to Poilievre.
Those are horrendous numbers for an incumbent, because it signals a significant portion of the country is completely fed up with Trudeau. After all, if Trudeau had a strong record in office, he would be able to find more than quarter of the country thinking of him as the best PM – especially considering incumbents usually do well on that question by virtue of holding the office.
Desperate abortion & gun rhetoric signals Liberal fear
The Liberals have been trying to ramp up discussion regarding abortion, and have sought to demonize law-abiding Canadian gun owners.
Those are their go-to moves when they’re desperate, and they are certainly desperate now.
We are seeing that the Liberals are trapped by their own ideological extremism. They keep pushing Canada further and further towards the far-left with their collectivist neo-communist mindset. The more they fail, the more they just double-down. But since they won’t consider things like easing up on government control, and since they don’t trust Canadians with our own money, they just keep doing the things that have put Canada in such a bad position.
Additionally, the Liberals are realizing that Pierre Poilievre doesn’t just meekly go along with their narratives. Poilievre is willing to push back, and that push back is helping more Canadians realize that there are actually real alternatives to the extreme Liberal policies that have been forced on the country.
