Per Capita GDP Falls Again

Five consecutive quarterly declines…

No matter what they try, the Liberals can’t seem to catch up in the polls.

And this is a big reason why:

According to Statistics Canada, per capita GDP declined by 0.1% in Q2 of 2024.

This represents the fifth consecutive quarter in which per capita GDP has declined in Canada.

While overall GDP rose 0.5% in that time, the population grew by an even larger percentage, meaning Canadians are getting poorer on an individual basis.
