McKenna complains about people attacking her and demands action, yet refuses to denounce what happens to others who aren’t on ‘her team.’ As we see once again, for McKenna, it’s all about herself.
Catherine McKenna regularly goes on TV and talks about how she gets so much criticism online.
Nevermind the fact that she’s a public figure, and that she regularly communicates in an arrogant and condescending way towards Canadians who disagree with her, McKenna still thinks that she should be exempt from harsh criticism online.
And she always casts the criticism she personally gets as part of a larger issue, saying it prevents women from wanting to run for office.
She even gets emotional about it, clearly seeking to generate sympathy and benefit politically from being seen as a victim.
So, with all of that in mind, you would think that McKenna would have been the first person to hold a press conference denouncing Gail Vaz-Oxlade’s vile attack on Ontario government minister Lisa MacLeod, right?
NOPE!
McKenna seems to have little to say about it.
For a refresher, here’s what Gail Vaz-Oxlade, a former TV personality, recently Tweeted:
How is this even remotely acceptable? Children are off limits. Always.
Do the right thing Gail. Apologize, delete the Tweet, and move on.@GailVazOxlade @MacLeodLisa @denisebatters @AlexpiersonAMP @MichelleRempel @davidakin @joe_warmington @CandiceMalcolm @Kathleen_Wynne @jack pic.twitter.com/ZT8SVI9A3M

While Twitter has removed the Tweet, Vaz Oxlade is doubling-down:
I'll just leave this here: pic.twitter.com/zpwWsxkzpQ

Where is Catherine McKenna’s statement on this?
Where is her teary-eyed press conference?
Turns out, since it was an attack on a Conservative, and since it didn’t happen to McKenna, she doesn’t care.
Just like she doesn’t care about the jobs she eliminates with her absurd policies and taxes.
For McKenna, it’s all about her.
If she sees a chance to use the issue of online negativity directed towards female politicians in a way that benefits her, then she’ll take that chance.
But if it comes down to actually living up to her rhetoric and standing up for a female politician in another party, McKenna has no interest.
So, we can clearly see that McKenna doesn’t care about women in politics or reducing online negativity, she only cares about getting votes for herself.
Total hypocrisy.
