The Queen has asked Boris Johnson to form a government, and he is now officially PM of the UK.
Buckingham Palace has released a photo of Johnson meeting the Queen:
Johnson takes over a government with a narrow majority in combination with the DUP, and is facing the upcoming October 31st Brexit deadline.
The new UK PM has said that he doesn’t see a ‘No Deal’ Brexit as likely, and is seeking new negotiations with the EU. However, he has said that if no deal is reached, the UK will leave on October 31st, and says the country must ‘be prepared’ for it.
