Tam Says Pandemic Could Continue For “Next Two To Three Years”

Will this statement be more accurate than previous claims from the Trudeau government, many of which were dead wrong?

Theresa Tam, Canada’s chief public health officer, says the CCP Virus pandemic could continue for years, despite rapid progress towards vaccines.

With many vaccines entering phase III trials, and with many experts citing 2021 as the year in which the virus will be seeing a clear reversal, Tam is saying the pandemic could continue until 2024:

“We’re planning, as a public health community, that we’re going to have to manage this pandemic certainly over the next year, but certainly it may be planning for the longer term on the next two to three years during which the vaccine may play a role. But we don’t know yet,” said Tam.

The deputy public health officer, Howard Njoo, said this:

“People might think that if we get a vaccine then everything goes back to normal the way it was before. That’s not the case… All of the measures we’ve put in place now will still have to continue with the new reality for quite some time. Certainly I think that we need to temper people’s expectations, thinking that the vaccines can be that silver bullet that will take care of everything, and everything we’ve done up to now won’t be necessary in the future.”

It remains to be seen whether these claims will be borne out.

However, repeated reversals by Tam and other top officials, including on the virus being ‘low risk,’ the wearing of masks, and border controls, has left many people understandably skeptical of government claims and advice.

Additionally, the credibility of many ‘experts’ and government officials was decimated when they encourage people to attend mass gathering protests, while trying to shut everything else down.

When people saw that supposedly ‘scientific’ and ‘neutral’ advice had been politicized, many lost faith in what was being said.
