The Conservative leader remains steadfast in his support for Israel, while Justin Trudeau – and especially Jagmeet Singh – jumped at the first chance to regurgitate Hamas’ claims.
It’s one thing for leaders to say they “stand with Israel.”
It’s another thing to actually do so.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre – who is leading massively in the polls – has put actions behind his words.
He and the Conservative Party have pushed for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps – a big funder of Hamas – to be listed as a terrorist organization, a step the Liberals rejected.
He and the Conservatives have demanded CBC be held accountable for their disgraceful refusal to refer to Hamas as terrorists, a step the Liberals and NDP rejected.
And he and the Conservatives chose not to jump all over reports that Israel supposedly bombed a hospital in Gaza – reports that were based on Hamas claims that have now been revealed as lies. Unlike the Conservatives however, Justin Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh, and the CBC did jump all over those reports, almost tripping over themselves in their rush to demonize the state of Israel.
Now, Poilievre is calling them out:

This is what Canada needs to see.
At a time when the lies spread by Hamas against Israel have led to a massive surge in tensions, attacks on Synagogues in both the Middle East and Europe, and pro-Hamas terror marches across the world – including here in Canada – all Canadians of good conscience must stand against Hamas’ lies, stand with Israel, and stand with the truth.
Poilievre is demonstrating that he fully understands that, while Trudeau, Jagmeet Singh, and CBC are all failing the test of ethics, honesty, and leadership.
