POLL: Conservatives Have Massive Lead Among Canadians Struggling Economically

Another indication of how profoundly the Liberals have failed, and how the Conservatives dominate on the affordability issue.

A new Angus Reid poll shows the Conservatives with a dominant lead among Canadians.

According to the poll, 40% of Canadians plan to vote Conservative, compared to just 23% who plan to vote Liberal and 21% who plan to vote NDP.

9% say they’ll vote for the Bloc, while 4% say they’ll vote Green.

The survey also shows the Conservatives with a massive lead among those who are struggling the most economically.

Among those who describe themselves as “struggling,” a full 50% plan to vote Conservative, compared to just 15% who plan to vote Liberal and 21% who plan to vote NDP.

The Conservatives lead by 17 points over the NDP among those who describe themselves as “uncomfortable” economically, and by 8 points over the Liberals among those who describe themselves as “comfortable.”

Ominously for the Liberals is that even among the roughly 25% of the country that describes themselves as “thriving” economically, just 30% intend to vote Liberal compared to 28% who intend to vote Conservative.

If the Liberals are barely winning among those who are happy with the economy (a dwindling number of people), then they are on track to get crushed in the next election.

The survey makes it clear that Canadians are rightly placing blame for our economic malaise where it belongs: The failed policies of the Liberals & NDP.
