The rhetoric from the Trump Administration does not hold up under scrutiny.
Following the death of Minneapolis woman Renee Nicole Good, who was shot by an ICE agent, the Trump Administration has sought to craft a narrative depicting Good as a ‘domestic terrorist’ who was trying to run over ICE agents.
Aside from the deeply unethical aspect of using such rhetoric to demonize an American citizen whose life was brutally ended, the narrative being crafted by the Trump Administration does not hold up under scrutiny.
A New York Times forensic analysis of three videos of the shooting shows that Good was attempting to drive away, rather than attempting to run over ICE agents. Further, at no time was an ICE agent ‘run over.’
