The CPC won the riding by a narrow margin in the 2025 federal election. They are getting blown out this time.
Conservative support has collapsed in the Chicoutimi—Le Fjord By-Election, in a development that will raise further questions about the CPC’s ongoing ties to pro-Trump influencers and refusal to confront pro-Trump elements within the party base.
In 2025, Conservative MP Richard Martel won 34.14% of the vote, narrowly beating the Bloc and Liberals who finished with 31.19% and 31.12%, respectively.
In the By-Election, with over 70% of polls reporting, the Liberals are pulling in 49.7% of the vote, with the Bloc in second place at 33.5%. The Conservatives have crumbled to just 13.1%.
This is also an important reminder for those who dismiss the polls as ‘fake.’ Surveys showing Canadians rallying behind Prime Minister Carney in the face of escalating Trump assaults on Canadian sovereignty are reflecting the feelings of the Canadian People, as election results are now making clear.
