Read the Record First

Spencer Fernando said Mark Carney would be a formidable candidate while most of the commentary still treated him as a banker who would wilt on a campaign trail. He told Conservatives to put distance between themselves and Donald Trump while they were far ahead in the polls, and the advice was unwelcome.

Both calls are public, both are under his own name, and both are still there to be checked.

That is the offer. Not more enthusiasm, and not another poll read back to you. Somebody who sees the turn before it arrives and says so early, when saying so costs something.

He has worked inside the Manitoba Legislature as a policy analyst and a communications professional. He has worked the constituency office of a federal Member of Parliament, where voters walk in with problems instead of talking points. He has advised campaigns. He has spent years knocking doors and volunteering, in winter, in seats nobody was going to hand over.

He also built a public platform from nothing. More than 100,000 followers, millions of combined views across articles and videos, thousands of readers on Substack, a column in the Winnipeg Sun, and writing at The Hub and The Line. He did that with no masthead behind him, which is the same problem a challenger has on day one.

Businesses can retain him for the same reason candidates do. They need to know which way the country is moving before it shows up in a headline, how a policy shift will land with the public, and which arguments will survive contact.

Spencer takes on a small number of candidates and firms at a time.

For campaigns: message and positioning, the argument you are actually making and whether it survives contact, debate and interview preparation, and a standing read on where the race is moving before the polling confirms it.

For businesses: what Ottawa is likely to do next, how it will land with the public, and which way the ground is shifting under your sector.

Engagements start at $5,000. Send the campaign or the file, your timeline, and the thing you are most worried about, and he will come back with a straight answer on fit and a price.
