Two-Thirds Of Canadians Say The “Economy Is Rigged”

Yet more evidence of the massive disconnect with the official government economic stats, and what people are feeling on the ground.

A new Ipsos poll reveals a full two-thirds of Canadians saying “Canada’s economy is rigged to advantage the rich and powerful,” a theme that will certainly factor into the upcoming election campaign.

In the 2015 campaign, Justin Trudeau campaigned on helping Canadians struggling to make ends meet.

But since taking power, the number of Canadians saying the economy is rigged has actually increased by 8 points, from 59% in 2016 to 67% now.

Additionally, just 10% of Canadians don’t think the economy is rigged, showing how widespread the feeling of the system being rigged is across our country.

That same poll also showed a majority of Canadians saying “Canada’s society is broken,” with 52% saying it’s broken, and just 19% saying it’s not broken.

Of course, these results make a lot of sense, considering that the cost of living is getting higher and higher, and we’re all being told to ‘sacrifice’ to ‘save the planet,’ while the elites keep living large at our expense.
