The Marxist Foundation Of Critical Race Theory & Why It’s Such A Threat

‘Conservative’ politicians would have to be either Communists in disguise, or absolute morons to embrace and promote Critical Race Theory.

When an extremist group is trying to push their ideas on a population, their first move is to hide any evidence of extremism.

That has long been true of Communists, who have found many different ways to repackage and obscure their ideas in order to make them more saleable to the general public – a public that rejects Communism itself.

The Communists are aided in this obscuration by the fact that they can claim to be standing for ‘equality for all people,’ which of course sounds nice at first glance and deftly elides that Communist efforts to achieve ‘equality’ have historically involved horrific violence, brutal oppression, a denial of all basic freedoms, and still end up with a politically-connected ruling class that had privileges denied to the vast majority of people.

Nowadays, many people seem to believe that Communism has ‘gone away’ for the most part, which is another example of how successful the Communists have been at rebranding themselves.

In Communism’s largest ‘trial runs’ in the Soviet Union and China, the death toll was astronomical. Indeed, it is likely that Communism would be the biggest political taboo – and would be fully recognized as a dangerous extremist movement – were it not for the fact that fascist Germany committed such horrendous crimes and killed so many people in a short time that an alliance with the Soviets (and a downplaying of Stalin’s atrocities) was seen as politically and militarily expedient during WW2, with a subsequent impact on perceptions that last to this day.

Indeed, many people remain unaware that the Soviets and Fascist Germany had an alliance at the start of the war, and that both countries had been closely linked through trade and even military cooperation before the war began. Further, the Holodomor, the genocidal Terror-Famine deliberately caused by Stalin and the Communist Party receives far less attention than it should, perhaps because many Communist-leaning academics would rather not admit how bloodthirsty their ideology turns out to be when put into practice.

So, why am I mentioning all of this?

Because Communism is once again rearing its ugly head, as Marxists try pushing their ideas under their latest rebranding effort:

Critical Race Theory.

Repacked Marxism

As Liz Wheeler wrote in Newsweek, Critical Race Theory is Repacked Marxism:

“Critical race theory is an offshoot of critical theory, the brainchild of the Frankfurt School, a group of 20th-century Marxists associated with the Institute for Social Research. (Fun fact: the founder of the Institute for Social Research wanted it to be named the Institut fur Marxismus, which translates to the “Institute for Marxism.” That name was scrapped for fear it would alienate the public.)

In 1937, Max Horkheimer of the Frankfurt School wrote a manifesto about “critical theory,” in which he claimed that when examining society, people cannot reason objectively. In classic Marxist fashion, critical theory divides everyone in society into classes of oppressed and oppressors, but posits that the so-called oppressed stand in the way of revolution when they adhere to the societal belief systems and cultural norms of their so-called oppressors. Therefore, the cultural institutions that stand in the way of the Marxist revolution must be destroyed through relentless criticism (hence the name: critical theory).”

As Wheeler goes on to point out, when Marxists realized that things like national pride, religion, and family were the key ways working class people identified themselves – rather than through class division as the Marxists wanted – they needed to find something else.

And they now believe they’ve found it.

Race.

“Since a worker-led revolution wasn’t happening, they needed another “oppressed” class to serve their purpose. That purpose was to tear down Western institutions that stood in the way of revolt and stage a Marxist revolution. Using racial minorities as their new vanguard would be brilliant. Who better to re-educate than a demographic of people whose ancestors had suffered oppression in America based on their skin color? Who better to paint as victims of a belief system of the “oppressors” and to claim the only way to liberation was to demolish the institutions of the oppressors?

In other words, the designers and adherents of critical theory admitted their true intent. Not equality under the law. Not civil rights. Not freedom, liberty and justice for all. Not a better life for racial minorities. Critical theorists admit their intent is to use racial minorities as the vanguard for a Marxist revolution.

Thus, critical race theory was born.”

Replacing class with race

Writing in the CTMirror, Don Pesci makes similar points about how Critical Race Theory serves Marxist ends:

“Critical Race Theory has replaced class with race in its slow march through our post-modern pedagogical wilderness, but its end point is Gramscian Marxism. The Critical Race Theorist sees race everywhere. It lies at the root of all social disorders. It is the noose with which the theorist may hang the whole of western history; for the principal mission of Critical Race Theory is to change history by a quiet revolution in which the march of boots into the future is heard only as pleasant applause.”

A conspiracy?

As more and more people discover that Critical Race Theory is based upon Marxism, we will invariably see supporters of CRT claim that is a ‘conspiracy theory’ and pretend it’s all made up.

And yet, even the Encyclopedia Britannica notes the connection:

“Critical race theory (CRT) was officially organized in 1989, at the first annual Workshop on Critical Race Theory, though its intellectual origins go back much farther, to the 1960s and ’70s. Its immediate precursor was the critical legal studies (CLS) movement, which dedicated itself to examining how the law and legal institutions serve the interests of the wealthy and powerful at the expense of the poor and marginalized. (CLS, an offshoot of Marxist-oriented critical theory, may also be viewed as a radicalization of early 20th-century legal realism, a school of legal philosophy according to which judicial decision making, especially at the appellate level, is influenced as much by nonlegal—political or ideological—factors as by precedent and principles of legal reasoning.) Like CLS scholars, critical race theorists believed that political liberalism was incapable of adequately addressing fundamental problems of injustice in American society (notwithstanding legislation and court rulings advancing civil rights in the 1950s and ’60s), because its emphasis on the equitable treatment under the law of all races (“colour blindness”) rendered it capable of recognizing only the most overt and obvious racist practices, not those that were relatively indirect, subtle, or systemic.”

Consider that for a moment…

If CRT explicitly rejects ‘colour blindness,’ it is rejecting what Martin Luther King Jr. said when he stated he wanted his daughters to be judged ‘not by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.’

You also likely noted above how CRT is against Liberalism.

If it’s not liberal, and if it’s not conservative, and if it’s about pushing a far-left narrative, then that really only leaves Marxism, and that is indeed what it is.

Thus, a society that succumbs to the CRT narrative will be a society that is pushed into a socialist revolution, with violence and mass economic collapse soon to follow.

Just imagine a Communist State based upon racial division and constant rage…

Not a pretty picture, is it?

Conservative Useful Idiots

In a recent column, I wrote about how some ‘conservative’ politicians, including the PC Party in Ontario, have embraced the CRT worldview, and are pushing it onto young people:

“But perhaps the revelation that the Ontario PC government is pushing a radical far-left curriculum that calls math ‘racist’ and ‘Eurocentric’ will be enough to wake people up to the danger.

If you haven’t seen it yet, brace yourself, as the worst sections are pure insanity:

“An equitable mathematics curriculum recognizes that mathematics can be subjective.

Mathematics is often positioned as an objective and pure discipline. However, the content and the context in which it is taught, the mathematicians who are celebrated, and the importance that is placed upon mathematics by society are subjective. Mathematics has been used to normalize racism and marginalization of non-Eurocentric mathematical knowledges, and a decolonial, anti-racist approach to mathematics education makes visible its historical roots and social constructions. The Ontario Grade 9 mathematics curriculum emphasizes the need to recognize and challenge systems of power and privilege, both inside and outside the classroom, in order to eliminate systemic barriers and to serve students belonging to groups that have been historically disadvantaged and underserved in mathematics education.”

As I noted, it’s a Marxist worldview that is being promoted in Ontario:

It pushes a worldview that links race and math, pushes divisive anti-European sentiment into the realm of what is supposed to be objective learning, and then gets into talk of a ‘decolonial, anti-racist’ approach to math.

As you know well, none of that has anything to do with math.

It does however have a lot to do with demoralizing young people, making them hate their country, making them hate Western Civilization, and bringing up a generation of people that will seek to oppose Western Capitalist Democracies – opening things up for a radical far-left ideology to dominate at all levels.”

For ‘conservative’ politicians to promote this means they are either Marxists masquerading as Conservatives, or they are so stupid that they think they’re just being ‘woke’ or ‘progressive’ by embracing Critical Race Theory.

This is a key reason why even when Conservatives ‘hold power,’ they aren’t really ‘in power,’ because the institutions of government and much of the education system continue pushing a Marxist worldview behind the scenes.

Making the connection known

It shouldn’t have even come to this.

The fact that Canadian politics and society is once again being altered and consumed with issues that originated in America is appalling, but that seems to be how it goes.

The far-left in Canada has latched onto Critical Race Theory, given it a slight repacking to focus on ‘Colonizers/Colonized’ as the ‘Oppressor/Oppressed’ narrative, and is now going all out to try and demoralize the Canadian People, demonize Canada’s history and values, and create a political vacuum that they can fill with Marxism.

If our conservative politicians had done their jobs, then much of this would have been called out and stopped before it infiltrated through our society, but they dropped the ball, and – as we’ve seen – are even enabling it in some cases.

So, it falls to us.

Each of us must do everything we can to spread the word to our friends, our families, and our neighbours, making the connection between CRT and Marxism as clear as possible, and building an understanding among Canadians that pushing a Communist narrative of racial division and conflict would be devastating to the future of our country.
