The Liberal Government under Justin Trudeau has so far refused to release the names, despite mounting pressure.
Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says he would release the names of Parliamentarians involved in foreign interference if the Conservative Party forms the next government.
“Opposition Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre would release the names of members of Parliament “deemed to have knowingly participated in foreign interference” should his party form government, his office says.”
As reported by the National Post, the Conservatives continue to call on Justin Trudeau to release the names:
“(Poilievre) will be upfront and honest with Canadians and be transparent about the threats posed by foreign interference, unlike Justin Trudeau who continues to hide and obstruct the truth for political gain,” Skamski said.
“Justin Trudeau should release the names if he has nothing to hide.”
Despite multiple attempts to change the channel by focusing attention on Pierre Poilievre’s choice not to get a security clearance in order to preserve his ability to speak openly on foreign interference issues, the Liberals remain on the defensive. That situation is unlikely to change unless they release the names and provide the transparency many Canadians are demanding.
