Will they be kicked out? Will just Wilson-Raybould be kicked out? We could find out soon.
According to reports, there will be an emergency Liberal Caucus meeting today at 5:45 eastern time.
It is expected that the fate of Jody Wilson-Raybould & Jane Philpott could be decided in that meeting.
Earlier reports indicated an overwhelming sentiment within the Liberal Caucus to remove Wilson-Raybould, with some being a bit more supportive of keeping Jane Philpott.
However, many MPs see Wilson-Raybould and Philpott as a ‘package deal,’ meaning that if one is booted out the other will have to be removed as well.
Of course, if the Liberals do end up pushing either Wilson-Raybould or both of them out of the Caucus, they will face a severe political reckoning.
Removing two individuals who acted in a principled way in the SNC-Lavalin Scandal would send a message that the Liberals are only loyal to Trudeau’s deception and deceit – something Canadians will certainly want to punish at the polls.
