Peter MacKay Marks The 70th Anniversary Of The Start Of Korean War

“Thousands of our @CanadianForces stood up for freedom & democracy in Korea, and far too many of their names are engraved on this monument. We remember.”

Conservative Leadership contender Peter MacKay attended a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of the beginning of the Korean War, in which Canada fought against Communist China and Communist North Korea to defend freedom and democracy.

“It was an honour marking the 70th anniversary of the start of the Korean War today at the Wall of Remembrance in Brampton. Thousands of our @CanadianForces stood up for freedom & democracy in Korea, and far too many of their names are engraved on this monument. We remember.”

“Special thanks to Doug Finney and Donald Sudden of the Korean Veterans Association for all their work ensuring Canada remembers these sacrifices, and to my friend Bal Gosal for hosting me in Brampton today. #CanadaRemembers #LestWeForget”
