What an amazing and effective use of taxpayer dollars!
Amid the growing WE Charity Trudeau Scandal, in which the Liberal government gave nearly $1 BILLION in grant money to an organization closely tied to Justin Trudeau and Sophie Trudeau, things have gotten even worse.
According to a new report, the WE Charity has decided to use some of that money to give 450 ‘online student-volunteer placements’ to THEMSELVES.
That’s right.
They’re taking your tax dollars, and then paying themselves to create volunteer positions.
According to the Globe & Mail, “The Canada Student Service Grant program is facing criticism from some in the voluntary sector who say it is blurring the lines between unpaid volunteering and paid work by offering compensation equivalent to $10 an hour, which is below the minimum wage in all provinces. Students between the ages of 15 and 30 will receive a grant of $1,000 for every 100 hours of volunteer service, up to $5,000 for 500 hours.”
As people have noted, the WE Charity and Trudeau claim the charity won’t make a profit, but the fact that they are using tax dollars to create positions within their own organization completely demolishes that argument.
Earlier, one of the WE Charity founders said the PMO called and pushed for the involvement of the WE Charity in the massive program, but he then hilariously claimed he ‘misspoke,’ likely after a panicked call from the PMO.
The fact is, this scandal absolutely reeks of total corruption, and the more details that emerge the worse it gets.
