Poilievre slammed Trudeau for raising taxes on Canadians amid a cost-of-living crisis.
For the first time since becoming CPC Leader, Pierre Poilievre faced off directly with Justin Trudeau.
Poilievre’s themes were similar to his previous Question Period appearance vs Chrystia Freeland, as he focused on how the Liberals are raising taxes on Canadians even as the cost-of-living crisis worsens.
Trudeau responded by trying to attack Poilievre, and then promising to spend even more taxpayers money, demonstrating that the Liberals remain locked into a deeply ideological approach at a time when Canada can’t afford it.

Poilievre is continuing his strong start as CPC Leader, as the Liberals have already been put on the defensive when it comes to cost-of-living issues.
The Opposition is now led by someone who is providing a clear and principled alternative to Justin Trudeau’s far-left big government agenda, and that is good news for Canadian democracy.
