Prime Minister Trudeau says he “ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace.”
The unidentified objected identified by NORAD over Northern Canada has been shot down.
Justin Trudeau says he ordered the “take down” of the object, which was accomplished by a U.S. F-22:
“I ordered the take down of an unidentified object that violated Canadian airspace. @NORADCommand shot down the object over the Yukon. Canadian and U.S. aircraft were scrambled, and a U.S. F-22 successfully fired at the object.”

Trudeau says the Canadian Forces will recover and analyze the wreckage:

If the object turns out to be another spy device from China, it will be clear that the Communist State is dramatically escalating their effort to encroach upon North America.
Another serious question to be asked is whether Canada is actually able to defend our own airspace.
Why did it take a U.S. F-22 to shoot down the object, rather than a plane operated by the RCAF?
“So it’s just confirmed that this “object” over Canadian airspace was taken out by a U.S. F-22 jet.
We do not have the capacity to defend ourselves and our sovereignty.
Hard questions need to be asked about the state of the Canadian armed forces.”
