Marc Garneau was Canada’s foreign minister until 2021, when he was shuffled out of the cabinet in a move that caught many people by surprise.
In 1984, Garneau became the first Canadian to travel to space on space shuttle mission STS-41-G. Garneau went on two additional missions, STS-77 and STS-97.
