Brutal.
The Liberals keep saying they are “building more homes, faster.”
They’re not.
Amid a rapidly expanding backlash to massive immigration increases, the Liberals have trotted out that line over and over again to give the appearance that they are doing something.
Yet, according to the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation, new housing construction actually declined in 2023:

New single family housing construction is down a full quarter, while even new apartment construction dipped.
The numbers make it clear that not only are the Liberals not delivering more housing, there is actually less housing construction on their watch.
In fact, the only thing the Liberals are delivering on is the massive immigration surge that is contributing to the massive housing affordability crisis in our land.
The worst combination
If you wanted to make housing more affordable, then you would cut immigration while building more housing.
In Canada, the opposite is happening.
So, the Liberals continue to deliberately make this country unaffordable for our citizens by imposing such radical policies.
And, given that the Liberals appointed the guy who wrecked the immigration system as the new housing minister, it’s just going to keep getting worse.
