Conservative Motion To Halt Carbon Tax Hike Defeated By Liberals, NDP, & Bloc

119 MPs voted for the motion, while 209 voted against.

A Conservative motion to halt the planned April 1st carbon tax hike was defeated in the House of Commons.

119 MPs – Conservatives + Liberal MP Ken McDonald – voted for the motion.

209 MPs – Liberals, NDP, Bloc – voted against it.

Had the motion passed, it would have provided some relief to already-struggling Canadians.

With our standard of living in decline, the last thing Canadians can afford is for their taxes to go up.

Unfortunately, the Liberals, NDP, and Bloc are more interested in pursuing their eco-radical policies than they are in helping Canadians to make ends meet.
