The Disgusting Act Of Anti-Semitic Intimidation At Mount Sinai Hospital Has No Place In This Country

Every Canadian of good conscience must denounce what took place. And our country must take steps to ensure it does not happen again.

Let’s be very clear about what is happening in this country.

Following the most deadly day for Jewish People since the Holocaust, following Hamas’ brutal massacre of Israelis on October 7th, a portion of the Canadian population felt ‘liberated’ to express the vile anti-Semitism that was lurking under the surface.

In response to the mass murder, mass torture, mass rape, and mass kidnapping of Jewish People, many reacted with sick glee and have since sought to drive Jewish Canadians out of public life.

Remember, many of the ‘protests’ and intimidation of the Jewish community began before Israel launched any response whatsoever to Hamas’ subhuman actions.

Before.

Since then, there has been a resurgence of anti-Semitism that is disturbingly reminscent of the 1930s.

And we see the same factors at play here.

A small group of radical extremists loudly proclaim their anti-Semitic beliefs and seek to intimidate Jewish Canadians.

Most government officials issue weak denunciations of the hateful mobs, but simply hope it will all go away without taking action.

Many of those same officials also – either wittingly or unwittingly – contribute to the rise of anti-Semitism by drawing a false moral equivalence between democratic Israel and the genocidal Hamas terrorists who deliberately use civilians as human shields.

And worst of all, many top officials look at the demographic numbers and conclude there is no political benefit to be found in standing up for the Jewish community, and so they remain silent in the face of escalating hatred and threats of violence.

We saw where that led in the 1930s.

And we are at serious risk of heading down the same path today.

Just look at what happened at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto:

“This is Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, Canada.

The hospital was established because Jewish doctors had no place to train or work due to anti-semitism.

Tonight a crowd is chanting for violence against Jews outside this place of healing.”

“Here’s a much sharper video from last night’s incident at Mount Sinai Hospital.

For those claiming that it didn’t happen, please stop being ridiculous. It obviously did.

The real questions are why was this allowed to happen, and how will it be prevented from happening again?”

“We can only hope those anti-Israel protestors choosing to target Mount Sinai hospital in #Toronto never have to use it, never have a family member or loved one in desperate need of help.

The reality is that this Jewish institution wouldn’t hesitate to provide the care someone needed because that’s who we are as a community.

Tactics like this from the anti-#Israel mob are gross, illegal and antisemitic, and should be condemned from all political leaders at all levels. Full stop.”

Why was Mount Sinai Hospital targeted?

Becuase it was founded by Jewish Canadians.

That’s the reason.

It was targeted specifically because it is connected to Canadian Jews.

Just like how a ‘protest’ just so happened to target the Montreal Holocaust Museum:

That’s not a protest against Israel’s foreign policy.

That’s not a protest against war.

It’s anti-Semitic intimidation, full-stop.

We must call it out.

Each and every one of us, each of us who is decent, who believe in Canadian values, who believe in Western civilization, who believe in freedom, who believe in standing up for the Jewish community, must all speak out as strongly as possible.

We must make it abundantly clear that this disgusting anti-Semitic intimidation has no place in our country.

And we must demand that the authorities do much more to stop it.

Over and over again, we have seen the anti-Semitic mobs act with total impunity, free to intimidate others, call for genocide, and spread hatred all without any kind of strong or coherent response from the authorities.

That cannot go on.

Strong and decisive police action is need to break up the anti-Semitic mobs immediately upon forming, and to disincentivize further ‘pogrom-like’ actions.

We don’t have the excuse not to act.

We know where this leads if it is not stopped before it spreads out of control.

We cannot allow our country to become a hotbed of anti-Semitism, and we cannot let the Jewish community be left alone to face this hatred.

All Canadians must stand with the Jewish community and stand against the hateful anti-Semitic mobs. If we want to preserve our values, and preserve the soul of our nation, that is our one and only choice.
