Documents Related To Firing Of Scientists At Microbiology Lab Confirm The Trudeau Government Left Canada Dangerously Exposed To Infiltration By Communist China

The pro-CCP attitude that came from the top of the Canadian government cannot be separated from the infiltration of the microbiology lab and the long-running effort to stop Canadians from learning the truth.

With all the years that have passed, it can be easy to forget that the Liberal government sought to push Canada out of the orbit of our Western partners, and into the orbit of Communist China.

They pushed for a free trade deal, an extradition deal, and even closer military cooperation.

This push continued even as it became clear that Xi Jinping was far more aggressive than his predecessors.

Justin Trudeau was only slowed in this effort by the overwhelming weight of public opinion and pressure from our allies following China’s kidnapping of the Two Michaels.

This made it unteneble for the government to continue trying to move Canada into China’s sphere of influence. This was followed by the Covid pandemic originating in China, revelations of China’s genocide against the Uyghurs, and the betrayal of the ‘One Country, Two Systems’ agreement in Hong Kong.

Unfortunately, Canada is still living with the hangover of having spent years being completely naive regarding Communist China’s intentions.

And as we learned today with the release of documents relating to the expulsion of two scientists from the National Microbiology Lab, this country was left wide open to China’s infiltration:

“The Canadian Security Intelligence Service determined that one of two scientists fired from Canada’s most secure microbiology lab worked closely and covertly with Chinese government labs and collaborated with “institutions whose goals have potentially lethal military applications.”

On Wednesday, the government released hundreds of pages related to the firing of Xiangguo Qiu and her husband Keding Cheng from the national microbiology lab in Winnipeg. The pair were escorted out of the lab in 2019 and fired in 2021.

“The Service assess that Ms. Qiu developed deep, cooperative relationships with a variety of People’s Republic of China institutions and has intentionally transferred scientific knowledge and materials to China in order to benefit the PRC government,” reads a letter from January 2021 recommending her security clearance be revoked.

CSIS discovered Qiu had applied for and likely received a position under China’s Thousand Talents Program, a government sponsored program to recruit Chinese experts, which also allows them to keep jobs in Western countries.”

Where is the transparency?

These documents – many still heavily redacted – have been demanded for years.

Led by the Conservatives, the Opposition Parties demanded the government release these documents, and the Liberal Speaker of the House of Commons even demanded the documents be made available.

The Government was so desperate to keep this information hidden that they went to court to reject a demand from the Speaker from their own party.

This deny & delay approach is the one the Liberals have followed whenever a scandal involving China emerged. They spent months resisting an inquiry into China’s interference in our democratic institutions, and then set up the inquiry in such a way as to drive out the groups most under threat by China within this country.

Clearly, the Trudeau government feels there is much to be concealed when it comes to China’s interference and infiltration in Canada.

And that brings us to the most important point.

The undeclared war

China has not officialy declared war on the West.

But their efforts to infiltrate, intimidate, and influence the West, their massive military build-up, and their efforts to enable countries like Iran, Russia, and North Korea all point to a clear belief on their part that they are at war with with the world’s free nations.

By refusing to acknowledge this, and by naively thinking that Canada could somehow side with a Communist regime instead of deepening our ties with our fellow democracies, the Trudeau government has not only put Canada at risk, but also made Canada a weak link in the effort to confront thew New Axis.
