Following their successful grilling of Justin Trudeau and the Kielburgers, Conservative Finance Critic Pierre Poilievre and Ethics Committee Member Michael Barrett blasted the Liberals for their latest scandal.
This revolves around the Liberals giving a commercial rent subsidy to the Canada Mortgage & Housing Corporation (CMHC) to ‘run,’ despite the CMHC not running programs of that kind, and the CMHC then contracting out the program to a company that just so happens to employ Justin Trudeau’s chief of staff’s husband:
“CRA could’ve easily run the commercial rent subsidy, just like it does the wage subsidy. Libs farmed it to CMHC, which “exists for a SINGLE reason: to make housing affordable for everyone in Canada,” says its website.”
