The California Senator had frequently clashed with Biden during the Democratic primary, and was the first to drop out.
Joe Biden has selected California Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Biden had pushed a quota-based selection plan from the beginning, saying he would pick a woman as his running mate.
Harris was the first to drop out during the Democratic primary race, and clashed with Biden repeatedly.
Despite that, Biden has made Harris his pick:

Polls currently show Biden with a lead over US President Donald Trump. However, polls showed the same in 2016, and the polls have been tightening in the recent week, with voters in the US saying Trump is trusted more when it comes to the economic recovery from the CCP Virus.
