The David Johnston Debacle Gets Even More Pathetic

Every day Johnston goes without resigning is another day in which the Trudeau government looks like they are desperate to hide the truth.

The David Johnston debacle is getting even worse.

According to a Globe & Mail report, Han Dong had utilized the services of Navigator, a company that specializes in crisis communications.

That’s the same firm David Johnston utilized in his role as ‘special rapporteur.’

Notably, Johnston stated in his report that the allegations against Han Dong made in a Global News story were false. Johnston wouldn’t reveal what information he used to make that determination. Further, Johnston admitted that he didn’t actually meet with Han Dong while compiling his report.

Thus, Johnston’s claims – like most of his report – amount to ‘take my word for it.’

And now, after the Globe & Mail reached out to David Johnston’s office in regard to Navigator and Han Dong, Johnston dropped the firm:

“David Johnston and Han Dong BOTH hired the same firm for strategic advice.

Johnston exonerates Dong who left the Liberals amid allegations of foreign interference without even talking to him.

You can’t make this up.

Enough already. Call a public inquiry. #cdnpoli”

It would be funny if it wasn’t so dangerous

Now, if there was nothing at stake, this would actually be funny.

Johnston’s bias is so obvious, and his unwillingness to acknowledge it is so clumsy, that it seems like it all must be a joke.

It’s quite pathetic.

Unfortunately, our nation is controlled by pathetic people like Johnston, people who possess real power and influence despite being incompetent and contemptuous of Canadians.

How else would a compromised government act?

As I’ve noted before, the way the Liberals are acting is exactly how a government compromised by China would act. They do just a bit every once in a while to be critical of China, just so they don’t look 100% like CCP stooges, yet when it really matters they do what China would want.

China doesn’t want an inquiry into how they are influencing our country, and the Liberals are doing everything they can to make sure no inquiry ever takes place.

Despite facing massive pressure, their ongoing refusal to do so really makes it look like they have something to hide.

And beyond that, Canadians must confront the fact that our system as it is currently structured is allowing them to get away with it.
