VIDEO: Steven Guilbeault Refuses To Say Whether He Brought Up Communist China’s Interference In Canada’s Democracy During His Trip To Beijing

His refusal to answer provides the answer.

By this point, nobody who pays even a bit of attention to politics can deny that Steven Guilbeault isn’t a normal Environment Minister. Guilbeault isn’t an old-school Liberal, a moderate, or a centrist. He’s an eco-radical zealot who believes he is on a world-saving mission and thus views those who disagree with him with total contempt.

As a corollary, we get the clear impression that Guilbeault doesn’t seem himself as a representative of Canada, but rather as a representative of his quasi-religious ‘green’ agenda. And of course, since the modern green movement – as contrasted from the conservation movements of the past – Guilbeault also has a soft spot for Communist regimes. Those regimes have the kind of power Guilbeault craves, the power to completely ignore public opinion, dominate private industry, and reshape the entire economy without resistance.

When you look at it this way, Guilbeault’s actions make a perverse kind of sense. He attacks Alberta and Western Canada – a region of the country where private initiative, limited government, and individual freedom are all highly-prized, while he praises – and even works for – the Chinese Communist Party state.

So, when Guilbeault was asked whether he brought up China’s interference in Canadian democracy, his refusal to answer wasn’t a huge shock:

“Justin Trudeau’s environment minister asked whether he raised Beijing’s interference in Canadian democracy while he met with high-ranking Communist Party officials in Beijing last week.

“Next question.””

His refusal to answer is the answer itself. Of course he didn’t bring it up. Guilbeault could care less about Communist China trying to undermine our institutions. In fact, he is currently trying to undermine the energy sector of Western Canada and undermine the economic interests of Canadians, so he likely doesn’t even think China is working at cross-purposes to his agenda.

The unfortunate reality is that whoever Steven Guilbeault is working for, it certainly doesn’t seem to be Canadians.
