The courts must be politicized, because the lack of political debate surrounding the courts has let the far-left take them over.
Let’s not mince words here.
Years of supposedly ‘avoiding the politicization of Canada’s courts’ has not led the courts to be less political or biased.
Rather, it has let the radical far-left take over the courts by stealth.
An entrenched far-left worldview is so endemic in a significant portion of the legal elite in this country that even supposedly ‘moderate’ judges are issuing rulings that border on insanity.
Just look at what happened in B.C.:

Friday’s ruling in favour of the Harm Reduction Nurses Association imposes a temporary injunction until March 31, pending a constitutional challenge, with the judge saying “irreparable harm will be caused” if the laws come into force.
Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth said in a statement the government was “concerned” by the ruling against laws meant to prevent “the use of drugs in places that are frequented by children and families.”
“(This) decision temporarily prevents the province from regulating where hard drugs are used, something every other province does, every day,” he said.”
Make no mistake, this is a highly political ruling, and it is an incredibly dangerous ruling.
The B.C. Supreme Court is basically doing the bidding of the Trudeau Liberals who pushed for the ‘decriminalization experiment’ in B.C. that has caused more and more illegal drug use. Liberal Minister Carolyn Bennett was a key proponent of the policy.
At a time when our freedoms are being restricted more than ever before, including a reduction of our free speech and our economic freedom withering away under communists like Steven Guilbeault, the courts are ruling in favour of the supposed ‘freedom’ to do illegal drugs everywhere.
This is ruining many of our cities, as law-abiding people are put at risk because our ‘justice system’ panders to people doing illegal drugs.
We shouldn’t even have to debate this. The courts should never have become so crazy and so disconnected from Canadians. But this has happened because of the refusal to ‘politicize’ the courts.
The left was incredibly sneaky about this, as they labelled any pushback against their extremist rulings as ‘attacking the courts’ or ‘politicizing the courts,’ giving the false impression that insane rulings represented some sort of moderate ‘consensus’ in Canada.
And now, your safety is being put at risk as our country is handed over to criminals with each new insane ruling.
So, how can Canadians take back the courts, take back our justice system, and help return some sanity?
First, we need to politicize the courts big time. Future justices need to be assessed for their views, and need to be chosen based on their willingness to punish criminals and ensure the safety of law-abiding Canadian Citizens.
Second, the notwithstanding clause needs to be used over and over and over again. If the courts refuse to stand up for the rights of law-abiding Canadians, then their rulings must be ignored and overridden by our elected representatives.
At this point, Canadians need to say that enough is enough.
We need politicized courts that return to Canadian common sense, rather than far-left radical courts that put us in danger.
