WATCH: Chrystia Freeland Continues Proud Liberal Tradition Of Ignoring Per Capita GDP

By claiming a mass immigration influx is a key driver of the economy, Freeland is choosing to ignore the fact that our living standards are in rapid decline.

As the Liberals continue to deliberately make us poorer, one of their favourite ways to do this is by ramping up immigration to extreme levels.

By flooding the country with an unsustainable level of newcomers every year, the Liberals are able to put upward pressure on housing prices and generate a larger overall GDP number – simply due to a larger number of people being in the country.

They then claim this represents economic ‘progress.’

But there’s a reason fewer and fewer Canadians are buying into the Liberal narrative.

On a per person basis, Canadians are getting poorer.

Housing is unaffordable for a huge portion of the country.

Our social programs are crumbling.

Yet, Freeland keeps ignoring all of this.

She, Trudeau, and the Liberal government are ramming through their incredibly unpopular mass immigration policies even while knowing the damage those policies are causing.

And Freeland continues to pretend that per capita GDP simply doesn’t exist. Watch her response to a question about why the government kept ramping up immigration, in which she still tries to claim mass immigration is an economic driver:

As noted by Darshan Maharaja, Canada’s GDP growth has been rapidly slowing on a per capita basis – even before per capita GDP growth turned negative over the past two years or so:

As 2024 goes on, expect to see more of this.

The Liberals will continue to impose policies that deliberately weaken our standard of living, but since they can’t admit that, they will keep pointing to things like raw GDP figures to gaslight Canadians into thinking the economy is stronger, even as our per capita GDP falls.

The Liberals will be helped in this by the legacy press, most of whom are economically illiterate socialists willing to lie to keep the Liberals in power and keep the media bailout money flowing.
