WATCH: When Questioned By MP Kevin Vuong On UNRWA Funding, Ahmed Hussen Demonized Vuong, Referred To UNRWA As A ‘Trusted Agency,’ & Said UNRWA Deserved “More Suppport”

Now, the government has made a rapid about-face, but only after our tax dollars likely went towards funding Hamas terror.

In the wake of the United Nations Reliefs And Works Agency firing 12 staffers for allegedly directly taking part in Hamas’ horrific terror attack on Israel, Liberal minister Ahmed Hussen had this to say:

Notably, this move was only made after the United States announced a similar funding cut.

Of course, this is the equivalent to closing the barn door after the horses have bolted.

It’s too late to for Canada to have stopped our tax dollars from funding terror through UNRWA, since UNRWA already was complicit in Hamas’ barbaric attack.

And when it comes to Ahmed Hussen, it wasn’t long ago that he was ridiculing the idea of cutting off funding to UNRWA.

When asked by MP Kevin Vuong – who has distinguished himself as one of the most courageous and principled MPs in the country and who deserves a long future in Canadian politics – about cutting off funding to UNRWA given the concerns that have long existed around UNRWA’s ties to terror, Ahmed Hussen demonized Vuong, called UNRWA “trusted,” and said they needed even more support:

“Last year, I called for @HonAhmedHussen to review ’s @UNRWA funding.

Since then:
— ’s National Council voted to cut funding;
— halted funding;
— UN SecGen called for investigation; and
— #UNRWA fired staff implicated in Oct. 7 terrorism.

Will @HonAhmedHussen finally act?”

Hussen’s defence of UNRWA, and his contemptous response to Vuong’s 100% legitimate line of questioning just goes to show how dangerous this Liberal government is.

Trudeau and his cronies can’t be trusted to defend our national security or keep us close to our Western allies, because the Liberal government – with a few rare exceptions – doesn’t really believe in the Western world.

In a sane world, Hussen would have to resign for his rampant incompetence and horrendous judgement, but since nobody ever resigns for failure in this Liberal government, the Canadian People will have to vote him out.

Until that happens, we need to keep getting the word out about the need to stand with Israel, stand with the Jewish community, and stand with our allies, instead of funding horrendous organizations like UNRWA.
