This must change.
You put a lock on your door and a security system in your home because you believe your life, and the lives of your loved ones are worth defending.
It is a tangible way to show you care about the people in your home, and you care about yourself.
So, what does it say about the Canadian government when they constantly underfund our armed forces and refuse to spend even the bare-minimum 2% of GDP on defence?
It shows they don’t see Canadians as worthy of being protected.
They don’t see you and your loved ones as worthy of being defended.
They are leaving the door unlocked.
They are leaving us without security.
This has to change.
With China, Russia, and Iran building up their arsenals, the world is getting more dangerous with each passing moment, and countries that leave themselves undefended will pay a steep price for such naivety and contempt for the safety of their people.
