Why Is The Pathetic Foreign Affairs Department Lecturing Israel About Banning Al Jazeera?

Hypocrisy and pandering to the anti-Jewish mobs.

In 2022, the Canadian government – along with many of our democratic allies – banned RT (AKA Russia Today).

It was a wise move, since RT is a Russian-government-controlled propaganda outlet, and Russia – along with China, Iran, and North Korea – have made no secret of the fact that they see themselves as being in a hybrid war with the Free World.

And yet, Canada’s Foreign Affairs department apparently thinks Israel shouldn’t be allowed to do the same thing.

In a message posted online, Foreign Policy Canada – an official government account – criticized Israel for banning Al Jazeera:

Of course, Al Jazeera is owned by Qatar – the same country that hosts Hamas leaders.

Qatar is not a democratic country.

So why would Israel allow Qatari propaganda to be spread within Israel?

This criticism from the Foreign Affairs Department is massively hypocritical. As noted by CIJA, everything the Canadian government said about RT could easily be said about Al Jazeera:

“Israel’s decision to ban Al Jazeera is no different than the reasons cited in banning Iran’s Press TV and Russian RT media outlets. In February 2022, the Prime Minister said “We will also be asking the CRTC to begin the process of reviewing Russia Today’s presence on Canadian airwaves – because we cannot allow falsehoods, propaganda, and disinformation about Russia’s war to continue spreading in Canada.” Why does @melaniejoly have one set of standards for and another for ?”

What’s really happening here is that the Liberals simply refuse to stop pandering to anti-Semites.

Instead of fighting anti-Jewish hate, the Liberals are feeding it. It’s another of the long list of reasons the Liberals must be crushed in the next election.
