Trudeau Says He’s Worried About What Trump Would Mean For ‘Climate Action’, Despite Trump Having A Better Emissions Reduction Record Than Trudeau

Justin Trudeau obviously believes his empty words are more important than the actual facts.

A key staple of the Liberal government has been their apparent belief that saying things makes them true, and that words matter more than reality and facts.

For example, the Liberals keep claiming they are doing stuff to alleviate the housing crisis, even as their actions – mass immigration – do the opposite.

The Liberals are implementing policies that make the housing crisis worse, while attempting to hide that reality with rhetoric.

The same is true on affordability. The Liberals claim they are trying to make life more affordable, even as they impose a carbon tax – and keep raising it – that makes life more and more expensive.

This is even the case when it comes to Canada’s democratic institutions.

The Liberals claim to be the defenders of Canadian democracy, when they are in reality the betrayers of Canadian democracy and the betrayers of the Canadian People by letting the Chinese Communist Party gain more and more power over our institutions.

And we can add another issue onto the growing list of areas where Liberal rhetoric and reality are completely at odds.

Speaking to his controlled-reporters at CBC, Trudeau said he was worried about the prospects for so-called ‘climate action’ if former U.S. President Donald Trump was re-elected:

“The Liberal government, he said, was able to work through some “very difficult problems” when Trump was president from 2016 and 2020, including his threat to “rip up” the North American Free Trade Agreement and “a desire to move backwards on climate change” that “was a menace not just to Canada but to the world.”

But Trudeau then allowed himself to cast forward — and acknowledged that he could see cause for concern.

“Yes, there’s a concern — particularly around the environment, at a time where it’s so important to move forward on protecting and building an economy of the future where energy workers, miners, forestry workers across this country — and manufacturing across this country — continues to be successful as we move towards lower emissions,” he said.”

Here’s the problem for Trudeau:

The Trump Administration had a better record on emissions reductions than the Trudeau government.

In 2016 – the year Trump took office – Canada’s per capita CO2 emissions were 15.4 tons per person.

In 2020, Canada’s CO2 emissions fell to 13.8 tons per person.

Meanwhile, CO2 emissions in the United States fell from 16.1 tons per person to 14.0 tons per person.

Canada had a drop of 1.6 tons per person, while the U.S. had a drop of 2.1 tons per person.

The U.S. also had stronger economic growth much of the time, and much stronger per capita GDP growth as Canada’s immigration rate was much higher on a per capita basis.

This exposes the emptiness of Trudeau’s rhetoric, alongside his rank incompetence.

He calls “a desire to move backwards on climate change” “a menace not just to Canada but to the world,” despite having a worse emissions reduction record than the people he is calling a menace.

Further, the United States managed to have a better emissions reduction record all without imposing an economically-destructive carbon tax.

And so, it is long past time for all Canadians to fully realize how completely dishonest Justin Trudeau is about everything, and realize that he is deliberately seeking to ruin our nation.
