Canada has an identity built upon the foundation of Western Civilization. To turn Canada into a ‘post-national state’ would require wiping out that identity, which is exactly what Justin Trudeau has incentivized.
Justin Trudeau has long openly declared he wants to turn Canada into a ‘post-national-state with no core identity.
The problem of course is that Canada already has an identity.
There is a reason Canada is similar in many ways to the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom, and New Zealand.
As part of the Anglosphere, Canada is part of the most successful examples of Western Civilization. Following World War Two, the Allies helped transform countries like Germany and Japan into examples of Western Civilization as well, examples that many have followed.
This is a key reason why Canada has – historically – been one of world’s freest nations. It’s also why – historically – Canada has been one of the most pro-Jewish nations in the world. Our values were – over a long period of time – shaped in part by rejecting the extremism of the fascists in the 1930s, and then by being part of the free world in confronting the Soviets.
Rejecting both fascism and communism makes perfect sense for Canada, because the Anglosphere and Western Civilization more broadly has been based upon democratic capitalism – the most successful way to organize an economy and society.
Unfortunately, Justin Trudeau – like his father before him – never really bought into this.
Trudeau has always been more drawn to dictatorships like Communist China and Communist Cuba, and he clearly sees the Anglosphere and Western Civilization as negative forces in the world.
And so, Trudeau has sought to erase Canada’s identity as a Western nation.
That’s what ‘post-nationalism’ is all about: Turning Canada into a blank slate by wiping away our past and undermining our values.
How’s that turning out?
Well, it’s turning out exactly as would be expected.
If you weaken the foundation of one of the most successful countries on Earth, that country can only get worse, because those who hate it will be increasingly incentivized to tear it apart from within.
And now, Justin Trudeau’s Canada is a place where Churches are burned down with impunity and anti-Semites thrive:

Meanwhile, anti-Semites seem to think now is their moment, as they openly intimidate Jewish Canadians and act with zero fear or respect for the authorities:

This is what ‘post-nationalism’ looks like.
This is what Canada looks like when we are stripped of our values and our history is wiped out.
And this is why – for the sake of our future prosperity and for the sake of the soul of our nation – Justin Trudeau’s anti-Canadian ‘post-nationalism’ must be rejected.
Instead, we need a renewed movement of civic nationalism and Canadian Patriotism in this nation, a movement built around confidence in our values, respect for our history, and a willingness to stand up for our foundation as a beacon of Western Civilization.
