Now is a time for leadership, not the pathetic ‘both sidesism’ we’ve seen from the federal government.
Anti-Semitism in Canada continues to escalate.
‘Protesters’ are deliberately targeting Jewish neighbourhoods, Jewish schools, and Synagogues.
And it happened again:

These aren’t just ‘protests’.
These are attempts to intimidate people, and push Jewish Canadians out of public life:
Since the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, Canadian cities are seeing continued escalation of protests that seek to intimidate the public, marginalize the Jewish community, and glorify violence. 1/4 pic.twitter.com/6h3s7abtN1

A time for leadership, not ‘both sidesism’
It has been quite a while since a Prime Minister gave an evening address to the nation.
Those speeches are reserved for the most important moments, and take quite a lot of gravitas to pull off.
Suffice it to say, ‘gravitas’ is not Justin Trudeau’s strong suit.
And his deep unpopularity means many – if not most – Canadians are tuning out whatever he says.
Yet, none of that changes the fact that now is the time for the Prime Minister to address the nation on the rise of anti-Semitism and call upon the country to stand up for the Jewish community.
This is a grave and historic moment in Canada. Anti-Semites are openly intimidating Jewish Canadians, are openly expressing support for genocidal terror groups, and are attempting to assert power over our entire society through the threat of force.
If ever there was a time for the Prime Minister to speak to the country, it would be now.
And if Trudeau does speak, he must abandon the ‘both sidesism’ that has government has indulged in – and which has fuelled anti-Semitism. There are not ‘two sides’ when it comes to the ‘choice’ between the Jewish community or siding with genocidal anti-Semitic terror supporters.
There is only one side that is consistent with Canadian Values, Canadian history, and the kind of nation we want to be: Standing with the Jewish community.
Justin Trudeau must speak to the nation and make this clear. If he has even a shred of national leadership ability left, it’s time for him to put it to good use.
