Trudeau Knew China Was Interfering In Our Democracy. He Did Nothing Because He Wanted To Benefit From It.

It’s not that complex.

The Foreign Interference Inquiry was neutered from the beginning.

It was skewed against the Conservatives and gave so much power to those accused of aiding China’s interference attempts that it scared away groups within Canada who have been targeted by China.

It was obvious that the Liberal government needed to look like they were ‘doing something’ without actually doing much.

And yet, the scale of interference by China was so large, and Justin Trudeau’s weakness and complicity so massive, that it is still producing devastating headlines for the Liberals.

For example, Han Dong isn’t looking so good:

“A summary of a CSIS document, based on taped conversations, tabled Tuesday shows that Mr. Dong “expressed the view that even if the PRC released the ‘Two Michaels’ at that moment, opposition parties would view the PRC’s action as an affirmation of the effectiveness of a hardline Canadian approach to the PRC.””

And of course, it turns out that the federal government knew early on about all of this interference and simply did nothing. And they also didn’t inform parties – like the Conservatives – that were targeted by China.

At this point, Canadians need to understand that this is exactly as it looks.

Justin Trudeau thought he was benefitting from China’s interference. So he did nothing about it.

He wanted to win.

He felt China was helping him win.

So he let China help him win.

We have a Prime Minister who is glad to let a brutal Communist State undermine our democratic institutions to help further his own power.
