Briefings took place between 2019, 2021, and 2022 stated Jody Thomas.
During a Parliamentary hearing into foreign election interference, National Security Advisor Jody Thomas said Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was briefed “multiple times” on foreign interference between 2019 and 2021-2022.
“National Security Advisor Jody Thomas testifies that Justin Trudeau was briefed “multiple times” about Chinese election interference in the 2019 and 2021 federal elections.”

As noted by The Real Andy Lee Show on Twitter, this appears to contradict Trudeau’s earlier claim that he was “not briefed” regarding China funding federal election candidates – the key source of interference at the centre of recent reports:

There is some wiggle-room for Trudeau to claim he was briefed on forms of election interference that didn’t include China funding specific candidates, but few are likely to believe such a claim given Trudeau’s oft-distant relationship with the truth.
The gap between the claim made by the National Security Advisor and Justin Trudeau’s claim not to have been briefed on China funding candidates will only add further momentum to the call for a fully independent public inquiry.
